General Rules for All Competitors

Safety is paramount in all drone competitions. Pilots and programmers must adhere to safety protocols at all times. All equipment will be subject to pre-flight inspection, and no modifications are allowed on provided drones.

Fair play is essential — no external interference will be tolerated. Drones must meet size and weight limits (maximum frame size 450mm diagonal and weight under 2kg).

Section Details

Auto Flight – Basic

Junior Auto Flight participants will showcase their programming skills by coding the DJI Tello or other drones to perform a series of predefined patterns autonomously. With a coding and testing window of 30 minutes, participants should complete patterns in a specific order, without manual intervention. Scoring is based on coding efficiency, pattern execution, and penalties for deviations or incomplete patterns. The highest score wins, with ties broken by penalties and completion time.

Manual Flight – Basic

The Basic Manual Flight competition challenges young pilots to navigate a predefined indoor obstacle course using the DJI Tello or other drones. With 30 minutes of test flight time, participants should complete two laps, including rings, tunnels, and landing zones, within 15 minutes. Points are awarded based on completion time, penalties, and landing accuracy. Lower times, fewer penalties, and higher precision scores will determine the winner.

Auto Flight – Advanced

In the Advanced Auto Flight competition, participants will program drones (either owned or rented from AdvancedUAV) to perform a series of obstacle-avoidance tasks autonomously. With 30 minutes for coding and testing, participants should complete tasks in the correct order and within a set time limit. Scoring factors include coding efficiency, pattern execution, and penalties for errors. The participant with the highest total score will win, with ties settled by task completion time and penalties.

FPV Racing – Advanced

In the FPV Racing category, pilots of various drones, including the DJI Tello, Mavic 2, and FPV models, should navigate a complex indoor obstacle course. With 10 minutes to complete two laps, participants should navigate rings, sharp corners, tunnels, and landing zones. Scores are calculated based on time, penalties, and landing accuracy, with the lowest total time taking the top spot. Precision and fewer penalties will be the key to victory.

Unleash your skills, push the limits, and take flight in the ultimate drone competition!
